Cacao & Clay
May 28 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Join us for this two part immersive workshop with Matt of Infinte Pottery and Jessie of Atma Things.
On Saturday May 28th Matt will walk you through the intricate and fun process of making your own clay cacao cup. Created by using the hand building method of coiling you’ll be able to get your hands connected with the earth element and put your own energy into a vessel just for your very own use. This workshop will start at 1pm and end at approximately 4pm. Snacks and light beverages will be abailable.
After the cups are created Matt will take them to his Toronto pottery studio where he’ll glaze them and bake the clay in his kiln, making the cups usable, heat resistant, and washable. You’ll have an oppertunity to choose from different glaze colours.
We’ll then meet once again on Sunday June 12th from 12pm to 3pm. You’ll be able to pick up your personal cups and use them in a cacao prayer ceremony and guided meditation. This is a perfect oppertunity for you to learn about the sacred and the science behind this ancient tradition, and to better understand how it can effect your life. Snacks and light beverages will be available.
It’s important that you commit to both days of the event and try your best not to miss either day in order to get the full experience.
The house is dog friendly so you must be comfortable around two big loving dogs. No exceptions.
No refunds or exchanges if 48 hours notice of change is not provided.
