In shamanism, each cardinal direction is associated with an animal archetype and a spiritual power: North: As a totem animal, the hummingbird symbolises joy, freedom, perseverance, creativity, love and healing. It encourages us to live in the moment, to be open to change, and to pursue our dreams with optimism. Its small size and ability to fly in all directions represent flexibility and freedom. They can also represent beauty, devotion, and love

These dishes are made with white clay and hand painted with a beutiful array of underglaze, sealed with a transparent glaze and finished off with a low luster gold trim. Each abstract bouqet of flowers, hummingbirds and gold trims are all hand painted and unique in their own way.

These dishes are not safe in the microwave due to the metalic gold trim. They are only meant to be hand washed and cleaned as soon as used to prevent the need to soak them as the gold will ware off if handled too much. These dishes can be custom made without a gold trim or with a black trim to make them microwave and dishwasher safe.
