The snake, the south, stands among other things for the reconciliation with ones own past. Snake is generally associated with transformation, due to its remarkable skin-shedding. Often overlooked, however, is that it also represents transmutation, what makes transformation or rebirth possible at the quantum level. Historically, serpents and snakes represent fertility or a creative life force. As snakes shed their skin through sloughing, they are symbols of rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing.

This tray is made with black clay and glazed with a black mat finish. It is food safe but I do not suggest washing the snake on this tray as it is guilded with a gold finishing that is not meant to be washed. Only the base of the tray can be washed if using it with food items. This tray is fire proof and candles and incense can be burned on it.

This tray is great as a decorative table tray, a charcouterie board, a temple or shrine tray, and offering tray for ancestors, and any other purpose you can think of.

Do not carry this try by holding it from the snake. Always cary it with your hands beneath the base.
